CUSTOMER: Fortune 100 Entertainment Company
Business Needs: The Company engaged Aspenware to evaluate and propose options
for their advertisings sales portal. Their legacy environment was poorly documented, a potpourri
of applications and technology, the principal architects of the system had left,
and the end-user customers were unhappy.
Solution and Approach: Aspenware over the course of one month developed a
detailed specification that was released in an RFP to several vendors including
the internal IT functions. Aspenware subsequently bid on the application, was awarded
the contract. Aspenware delivered a Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 application
that was configurable by market (Division and sub market) to support the presentation
of market specific information to the advertising sales representative. The roles
and permission capability allowed market and subject specific work flow to ensure
that market managers (eg. Automotive, sports, etc.) had ownership subject specific
material. Numerous other legacy applications were include in the presentation layer
of the application. Complete Administration and User Manuals were delivered with
the application.
