CUSTOMER: Installation Services
Business Needs: The Company provides installation services for a Fortune
100 home center, fulfilling work orders for products that includes all types of
flooring, doors and cabinets. Customers buy the product from the Home Center, but
it is shipped to the installation company which receives the product, manages inventory,
schedules installers, provides after installation follow up, bills customers, and
pays contractors based on job and mileage. They needed a process that would allow
them to grow their business and ensure continued satisfaction for their installation
clients and the Home Center.
Solution and Approach: To improve the efficiency of operations across numerous
service centers in Colorado and New Mexico, Aspenware migrated business processes
from spreadsheets and scheduling whiteboards to the web. The Installations Services
Manager is a custom workflow application that provides order entry, special orders
receiving management, installation scheduling, and warranty claims management and
integration with the Microsoft General Dynamics (Great Plains) accounting platform.
Additionally, it offers employee time tracking and supports business reporting features.
